Best digital photo frames to buy right now
The frame is the easy part. What matters is how photos get onto it: the good ones let the whole family send pictures from a phone app, with no subscription, and that is the one to give a grandparent.

Best to give a grandparent
1. Aura 10 inch Digital Picture Frame
The listing promises unlimited photos and videos with no subscription and no adverts, sent from the family's phones over wifi. It costs the most and is the least hassle for the person receiving it.

2. BIGASUO Frameo 10.1 inch WiFi Photo Frame
A 1280x800 touchscreen that uses the Frameo app, the system most budget frames share. Photos arrive from anyone you invite.

Cheapest worth buying
3. Humblestead 10.1 inch WiFi Photo Frame
Much the same 10.1 inch touchscreen for less. A no-name brand, so buy early enough to test it before you wrap it.

Best for large families
4. Nixplay 10.1 inch Touch Screen Photo Frame
A long-established frame brand with its own app. Nixplay also sells a paid plan for extra features, so check what the free tier covers before you buy.
Nothing matches those filters. Try fewer filters, or search for a brand like "MSI" or "Crucial".
How we rank
Ordered by how well each sells in its Amazon UK category, what the listing confirms it can do, and price. We have not handled these products. Prices and stock are checked daily.
Prices are Amazon UK and eBay UK at the time we last checked; they move daily, so confirm on the retailer's page. We earn a small commission if you buy through our links, at no cost to you. It never changes the order. More about how we work.
