Refunds and Cancellation
This page covers what you buy directly from POLICYANDPLAY LTD (trading as Gear Versus Tech): our digital build kits. Prices are in pounds. We are not VAT registered, so no VAT is charged and the price shown is the total you pay. If you buy a product from Amazon, eBay or another retailer through one of our links, that retailer's returns policy applies, not ours.
Your 14-day right to cancel
If you are a consumer, you have 14 days from the day you buy to cancel and get a full refund, without giving a reason. To cancel, email [email protected] with your name, the email you paid with and the kit you bought. You can say it in your own words, or use this text:
I hereby give notice that I cancel my contract for the supply of the following digital content: [kit name]. Ordered on [date]. Name: [name]. Email used to pay: [email].
We refund you within 14 days of receiving your notice, to the card you paid with, at no cost to you.
Digital kits: when the right to cancel ends
Kits are digital content. At checkout we ask you to tick a box saying: "I want access straight away. I understand I lose my 14-day right to cancel once the download or access starts." If you tick it, your right to cancel ends once the download or access starts. We confirm this in your receipt and on the confirmation page. If you do not tick it, you cannot buy the kit.
This does not affect your rights if the kit is faulty or not as described.
If a kit is faulty or not as described
Digital content must be of satisfactory quality, fit for purpose and as described. If it is not, email us. We will repair or replace it. If we cannot, or you have given us a reasonable chance and it is still wrong, you can claim a price reduction or a refund. These are your rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015.
Made-to-order and physical goods
If we link you to a store that sells printed or physical goods under our name, these rules apply. Goods that are personalised or made to order are exempt from the 14-day right to cancel. All other goods can be cancelled within 14 days of delivery and returned within a further 14 days; unless the goods are faulty, the buyer pays return postage. If goods arrive faulty or not as described, you have 30 days to reject them for a refund, and after that we must repair or replace them, or reduce the price.
Subscriptions
We do not sell subscriptions. Our kits are one-off payments and nothing renews. Newsletters and price alerts are free and you can stop them any time using the link in each email.
Problems with a payment
Payments are taken by Stripe. If you were charged and did not get access, email us with your receipt and we will sort it out or refund you.
