Best handheld gaming PCs to buy right now
Buy the ROG Xbox Ally if you want one handheld for Steam and Game Pass, though Windows needs more setting up than a console. For the Steam Deck experience, the Lenovo Legion Go S runs SteamOS; the Steam Deck itself is sold by Valve, not on Amazon UK.

Best for most people
1. ASUS ROG Xbox Ally
AMD Ryzen Z2 A · 16GB · 7in 1080p 120Hz · 512GB SSD
The Windows handheld most people should buy, and the best seller of the handheld PCs here. It boots into a full-screen Xbox view, plays Steam and other PC stores as well as Game Pass, and comes with 3 months of Game Pass Premium. The 512GB SSD fills after a handful of large modern games, so expect to delete games or add storage.

Best SteamOS handheld
2. Lenovo Legion Go S SteamOS
SteamOS · AMD Ryzen Z1 Extreme · 32GB · 8in WUXGA 120Hz · 1TB SSD
The closest thing to a Steam Deck on this list: it runs Valve's SteamOS, so your Steam library works without Windows fiddling. On paper it pairs the Ryzen Z1 Extreme with 32GB of memory, a 1TB SSD and an 8-inch 120Hz touchscreen. SteamOS has no Xbox app, so it is the wrong pick if you mainly play Game Pass.

Biggest screen
3. Lenovo Legion Go 8.8-inch
Windows 11 · AMD Ryzen Z1 Extreme · 16GB · 8.8in IPS · 512GB SSD
The pick for the largest screen here, an 8.8-inch IPS panel on a Ryzen Z1 Extreme Windows 11 handheld. It has the same chip as the Legion Go S but runs Windows, so Game Pass and every PC store work. The listing carries no detail beyond its title, so check the box contents and the seller before buying.

Most storage
4. MSI Claw 8 AI+ 2TB
Intel Core Ultra 7 258V · Wi-Fi 7 · 32GB · 8in 1920x1200 120Hz · 2TB SSD
The Intel-powered option for big libraries: a 2TB SSD, 32GB of memory and a spare M.2 2230 slot for more storage. It has an 8-inch 120Hz touchscreen, Wi-Fi 7 and Windows 11 Home. The model code ends in FR, which points to a unit made for the French market, so check the plug and warranty terms with the seller.

Older Intel Claw
5. MSI Claw A1M
Intel Core Ultra · Intel XeSS
MSI's earlier Claw, an Intel Core Ultra handheld with Intel XeSS upscaling to smooth frame rates in demanding games. It sells far less than the newer handhelds here. The listing gives no screen size, memory or storage figures, so check those on the page before you buy.
Nothing matches those filters. Try fewer filters, or search for a brand like "MSI" or "Crucial".
How we rank
Ordered by how well each sells in its Amazon UK category, what the listing confirms it can do, and price. We have not handled these products: the write-ups rest on what each listing states. Prices and stock are checked daily.
Prices are Amazon UK and eBay UK at the time we last checked; they move daily, so confirm on the retailer's page. We earn a small commission if you buy through our links, at no cost to you. It never changes the order. More about how we work.
